Eleonora De Giuseppe - visual artist

Eleonora De Giuseppe, graduated at DAMS Art Institute in Bologna.
At 25 she is a young but known artist, particularly in the South of Italy where she lives.
Her colours, her inventiveness, flavoured with pop emotions while surrendering to the power of the sunlight, have made her art very popular in a short period of time among an exciting and varied public. Some of her images, such as the "Eye" and the "Eyelashes" have become a cult.
The swiftness of the execution, her ability in the use of paintbrush, as well as the spray and any other pictorial techniques, give an idea of her creativity that has its roots in her childhood.
Recently, her works has been featured in a successful exhibition in Dusseldorf and Aachen (Germany), where the media recognized her potential for a great future as "an artist that brings together a youthful fascination for life and true italian culture".
In London, at the well estabilished Fiumano Fine Art Gallery, between 19-25 April 2010, Eleonora exhibited her latest works, a display of unrestrained imagination.

in 2011 Eleonara won the coveted First Prize Enogenies - 13th edition of the Fiera Immaginarte.

Accademia Apulia has asked Eleonora De Giuseppe the following questions:

My artwork is unique because ...

It holds the key to the infinite!

I appreciate what art critics have to say, but ...

the essence of any artwork is hidden in the soul of its creator.

Last good piece of advice someone gave me was ...

"Always follow your instincts".

"

My greatest achievement so far is ...

when I realised my creative potential.

By night I dream of ...

I don’t dream anymore. I paint.

The artist who inspired me the most is...

Caravaggio.

If I were not talking to you right now ...

I would be in London painting an 'eye' on the face of Big Ben.

I wish people would take more notice of ...

that fact that life is not a rehearsal! and if sometimes it’s like a jungle ...  it’s okay ...  if it were perfect we’d go all mad!

A  misperceptions about me is that ...

I am superficial. Those who are close to me know this is not so.

My strength is ...

generosity.

My weakness is ...

Being up in the clouds.

The ideal night out is ...

laughing and joking with friends.

In difficult times ...

I light things up, then I get in my car and drive around singing away!

My philosophy is ...

live your life informally, without too many expectations and without drugs.
