Helena Hung - Life and Business Coach

1. Where do you come from? Where do you live?

I am originally from Hong Kong. I came to London in 1991 to take up a job and have been living here since. I love London because of its historical buildings and the abundance of cultural activities.

2. What do you do and which is the most interesting aspect of your job?

I am a Life and Business Coach. I work with individuals and teams to help them achieve their full potential in their business or personal life. The value of coaching are to clarify their short-term and long term priorities, to help people have a clearer understanding of their unique strengths, value and skills and have greater control over their future and have time to do things that really matter to them.

I also work with managers to improve their leadership skills, time management and help their staff to achieve personal and organizational goal.

The most rewarding and interesting part of my work is to see how people transform just within weeks or even days. This all comes from themselves with the help of the coaching.

3. Which is your favourite book? And film?

I find it difficult to pick just one! But if I really have to pick one then I would say that it is Napoleon Hill's "Think and grow rich". It was first published in 1966 but it is still relevant in today's society. It was recommended by a teacher back in Hong Kong a long time ago. It is the first self-development book and subsequently many people copied the principles from this book and become successful themselves. It is not a book just to teach you how to make money but to lead a and fullfilling and happy life.

As for film, may be I would like to say my favourite play rather than a film. About 10 years ago I saw a play called 'Enematic variations". The story was written by a French professor of Philosophy Eric Emmanuel Schmitt and translated into English by the son of Donald Sutherland Roeg Sutherland. The main character was played by Donald Southerland. The co-actor in this play is John Rubinstein. It was about an love story between two men and a woman. But it is not just a love story. The ending is so unexpected. You keep wondering when is this woman going to appear right from the beginning but she never did...This is the best play I have ever seen.<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->

4. What are your plans for the future?

I am working part-time at the moment. By the beginning of next year I will be working full time so I need to get a website of my work as quickly as possible.
