A band with a difference: BAROQUE
In many interviews, artists talk about their music as unlabelable - they try to stand out from the crowd and quite often, they end up being just average.
BAROQUE, on the other hand, decided to go for an act of bare honesty. ROCQ is the band’s second work. ROCQ is the band’s genre. ROCQ is their label.
After the debut album La Fiaba della Buona Notte (Musea Records 2007), some relevant gigs (Nick Cave, Primal Scream, Blonde Redhead) and “on air”
appearances (AllMusic TV, Life FM London, RadioJWave Tokyo), in April 2010 BAROQUE took Rock, dressed it with all the dark and sumptuous sounds we, and buried it with the EP R.I.P. rock in peace.
The band now presents ROCQ.It’s white, it’s bright. It’s Seventies, glam and vaudeville, yet clawy enough to cut flesh and soul. It’s energy straight out from their rehearsals, writing sessions and liveshows. It’s a real, reviving experience of music. Twelve tracks for experiencing the pure energy that feeds and #ows through the band’s own songwriting, performance and production.
