Francesco Draisci awarded 'Premio Puglia 2009'

One of five "Premio Puglia 2009" was awarded to Francesco Draisci, member of Accademia Apulia, at a ceremony on 23/10/2009, at the Teatro del Fuoco in Foggia, Italy.
Premio Puglia is a most coveted prize awarded by the President of Puglia to five individuals who have distinguished themselves professionally oveseas thus adding shine to the good name of Puglia. It’s a prize that also recognises people’s efforts when living overseas, such as leaving families behind and adapting to a different culture".
I chose London in order to express myself creatively, as it is the best place for it,” stated Francesco Draisci, “ and London must have made a big impression on my brothers too as they also live in London. My parents are the only family memebers still living in Puglia.” I am grateful to my parent, he continued, “ for encouraging me to achieve my own ambitions. It is vitally important that parents do not inhibit their children’s dreams and aspirations“.
Art is the best way through which Puglia can reach the rest of the world, and our thanks must go to Councilor Elena Gentile (Social Policies of Puglia) whose kindness allows people scattered around the world to come together once a year for this amazing Premio Puglia"
It has been an important year for Architect Francesco Draisci who recently was awarded the prestigious "The Design Awards 2009".
