Success for pop artist Eleonora De Giuseppe
Eleonora De Guiseppe’s first exhibition in London at the prestigious Fiumano Gallery, has been very well received by the English art world. The paintings are full of exuberant colours and marked by metal shrapnel but these techniques are used to build confident, intriguing scenes full of life. Each work is signed by Eleonora’s trademark, an “eye”, which stands as her artistic hallmark. These works cannot be easily defined sitting, as they do, between pop art and street art, while Eleonora describes them as “psychedelic.” In fact her works recall those of the great street artist and social activist Keith Haring, who did so much to redefine the boundaries of street art.
Her London debut is a culmination of a long journey that started in the small town of Tricase in Puglia before moving onto Bologna and ultimately the prestigious DAMS. Her works have also been exhibited in Aachen and Dusseldorf.
